Thursday night, 2nd of December - ACArts Annual Bazaar - 3-6pm.
A range of stalls from present and past students of NASA/Adelaide centre for the Arts/Adelaide College of the Arts or was that for the Arts, anyway, a whole lot of wonderful work, handmade by Adelaide artists, fresh and seasoned.

Then comes the weekend extravaganza!
Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th of December - Art at the Hart - 11am-6pm.
A selection of 70 artists have stalls at this "Artists Market", with activities, entertainment and food available.

I'll be at both of these events - with work for sale... here's a preview......

Craftsouth at the Adelaide Town Hall

"The second instalment of Craftsouth at the Adelaide Town Hall, which presents and celebrates the diversity of our membership of creative practitioners, will be on display from Wednesday, 17 November. With displays changing periodically, the next installation will feature the work of Tegan Empson, Mandi King, Sunshine g.b March, James Martin, Adrian Potter, Lee Salomone and Silvia Stansfield. Their works can be seen until February 2011".

If you are very observant you may notice a change in the "Places you can buy my work" section of this here blog.
My work is no longer at Hahndorf Academy and Vintage Carousel.
I may re-stock Vintage Carousel at some stage so watch this space (or just keep popping in to the delightful shop that is Vintage Carousel!).
However, just to cheer me up, I have 2 new stockists!

Push Pin Boutique, 8 Compton Street, Adelaide, now have a selection of "80's rock", "scratches" and "bamboo" brooches.




One Small Room, Elizabeth (Queen) Street, Croydon, have the "we're very happy in brompton" printed form series (sold in groups of 3, I believe) and some very 70's style pottery cups - perfect for warming your hands and heart whilst imbibing coffee and tea.
The blue one on the left (yummy jun glaze) is available at O.S.R. (4 of them if you're quick!)

Semaphore Markets

I love encouraging the general community to get involved in art and most importantly - get their hands dirty!
This Sunday (Father's Day, incidentally) I'm heading to the monthly Semaphore Market at St. Bede's to do a community arts workshop/project.
10am-3pm @ St. Bede's 200 Military Road, Semaphore.
We'll be making clay tiles to go in their community garden (or you can come back next month and buy it instead!).
Come along if you want to make one or just have a wander in the market.

all the bits in between

there's the flashy stuff - the exhibition opening where the wine gets imbibed, the friends applaud, the punters rush to buy all your work (okay, perhaps i'm exaggerating a little - they usually walk sedately).
AND there's the excitement of putting new work into shops and seeing the treasures gradually disperse to their new homes.
BUT!
what about all the in between days, weeks, months, where all the actual work gets done?
