all the bits in between

there's the flashy stuff - the exhibition opening where the wine gets imbibed, the friends applaud, the punters rush to buy all your work (okay, perhaps i'm exaggerating a little - they usually walk sedately).
AND there's the excitement of putting new work into shops and seeing the treasures gradually disperse to their new homes.
BUT!
what about all the in between days, weeks, months, where all the actual work gets done?
a little photo montage to celebrate these times.

to live or to blog

hello to those of you who stumble back here occasionally. and what an occasion it is! i've really been slipping a bit in the blog stakes. i was part of a group exhibition called "printology" last month, for fringe festival, and unless you're on my email list, you would not have heard a peep about it!
it was an exhibition by the parks studio print makers and what a great show it was!
behold, some of the work i had in the exhibition.

witness beakers (photo : ryan pike), "nest" prints, framed and unframed (detail), "scratches" brooches.

vintage carousel and lustre galleries share the fun

okay, so i've emerged from the holiday joy into a brand new year. what better way to start than with 2 new retail outlets?
you can now find some of my brooches and a necklace or two at "vintage carousel", a fabulous vintage shop on hawker street, brompton, run by the lovely rachel will.
the other shop with which i have had the pleasure of doing business with is "Lustre Galleries" at 18 Peel Street, Adelaide. This gallery is run by Christine Pyman, an Adelaide jeweller who is most well known for her "joyful woman" series.
get out there!
